Bangkok's 'Mexican' Gangsters

Hi again to everyone, I feel really exited. Today I am going to talk about a video I recently watched, this video shows a new trend that has emerged in Bangkok.

While watching this video, I start wondering ¿what would happen  if I start dressing like a U.S.gangster?, ¿would I look cool or would I look like a non identity person?, I realize that everything depends on your believes, on what you think. When i saw all those men walking like mexican gangsters, dressing like mexican gangsters and even acting like mexican gangsters, I said "oh men, anyone there has identity", but after finshed that video, I said "if they feel motivated and feel passion for that, I dont see any problem about identity". I have realized again that I have a long way up to understand cultures.

DISCRIMINATION IN COLOMBIA

Hi to everyone, today i'm going to write about the discrimination in Colombia, a big problem that has been affecting us for a long time. the statistics i saw in a video shows that 76% of afro-colombians are living in poorness, the 42% are unemployed, just 2 of every 100 afro-colombians reach the college, this kind of things dont have to be found in the today´s society.

Taking a deeper look into today´s society, the most of homeless people you can find are not blondes or white people. Those who ask for the daily coin to buy a bread, those who are always looking in where are they going to sleep, those who you always find with a sad look, those are afro-colombians, but what are all those afro-colombians, inferior people?

For a long time i have been wondering  why are the afro-colombians treat as animals, why is that discrimination?, if they are people that deserves to be treat as good as white man or a blonde woman.

The discrimination in Colombia is making the country to stay, if the discrimination never ends our country is never going to develop, the afro-colombians are also our people, if e dont stop this who is going to do it?, lets end this resentment.

A GRATEFUL EXPERIENCE

Hi to everyone, my name is Daniel Eduardo Celis Montes, I’m 17 years old, I’m a mechanical engineer student at Universidad Del Norte, I’m in second semester, I love this university, it has everything to make your time here something really special.

I really enjoy my major degree, for me it’s the best, something that i have learn here is that companies are looking for the most prepared people. The more languages you know, the more competitive you are.

Wherever you go, China, Japan, Spain, Brasil or some other country, if you manage the English your time there is not going to be hard because it is the world´s language.

In this curse I learned some things I didn’t know like the difference between stereotypes and generalizations, for me they were the same thing, I was a little lost jejeje. Stereotypes are not good way to analyze a culture, as an example, if we say “cachacos are cold” or “costeños are relax” both are stereotypes but they are not true

Stereotypes can make a person who knows his culture in a 360° way, to believe something wrong about someone from another culture.

I have enjoyed this curse and I expect to learn more about stereotypes, generalizations and other things about cultures…
